Conference on LLMs and externalism in London

The Department of Philosophy of The University of Hong Kong together with the Institute of Philosophy of the University of London will jointly organise Conference on LLMs and externalism in London.  It will be held from 26th to 27thJune 2025 at the University of London.

To conference aims to bring together philosophers to examine foundational questions about language, thought, and artificial intelligence. The workshop focuses on themes in externalism and metasemantics, with special attention to how these issues bear on the interpretation and explanatory role of AI systems.

Topics will include the nature of content, the limits of internalist models, and the relevance of metasemantic theories for understanding the apparent linguistic and cognitive capacities of artificial agents.
